Bitesize Prediction: Rennes vs Montpellier – 30/10/22

Market: Martin Terrier to score anytime

Odds: 7/5 @

Looking to extend on what has been a real purple patch, Rennes will welcome Montpellier to Roazhon Park on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Rennes might have been frustrated to have thrown away their three-goal lead away at Fenerbache earlier in the week, Bruno Génésio s side have cruised their way to the knockout stage of this season s Europa League. Only continuing to gain a string of plaudits since opening the 2022/23 campaign, the Brittany-based outfit are in the midst of a 13-match unbeaten run across all formats. With that stellar purple patch stemming all the way back to August 27th, Sunday s hosts also have an attacking talisman enjoying quite the free-scoring run. Once again finding t…

Mourinho bemoans ´lack of respect to Roma fans´ after Milan defeat

Roma head Jose Mourinho did not want to say much following the Giallorossi s 2-1 defeat to Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, fearing that if he did he won t be on the touchline next week.

The loss was Mourinho s first at home in Serie A in his career, having been unbeaten for 43 home games during his time at Inter and Roma.

Compliments to Milan,  he said to DAZN immediately after the game. I don t want to say anything else, because otherwise I won t be on the touchline next week.

I am angry at the lack of respect shown to the Roma fans. We did not play well, but we left everything on the pitch. We have that respect, others do not, and that angers me.

That is all.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager then held an equally sho…

Hulk unfazed by transfer rumours

Porto forward Hulk has stated he is not paying too much attention to reports linking him with Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Italian sources claimed last week the San Siro outfit were considering a January bid for the striker as a way to solve their goalscoring problems.

The Brazil international has refused to rule out a move away from Porto, but stated he is not worried about his situation.

What I know is there has been news saying Inter are interested in me, just like several other European clubs, Hulk told Radio Bandeirantes.

I am focused on working at Porto. I don t know if something will happen in January, next season or in the next two or three years.

If a deal is to happen, it will surely be something good for me and for Porto. I leave th…

Rodolfo Cardoso initially took over as caretaker boss, but was replaced by sporting director Frank Arnesen last week due to the fact he did not have his coaching licence.

The former Chelsea chief did not stop in his search for a permanent replacement, though,…

French daily newspaper La Provence is reporting that Jeremy Morel s future at Stade Velodrome is in doubt.

Lingard: I learned something every day from Rooney

Jesse Lingard says he learned something every day from Wayne Rooney, while playing alongside the former England captain at Manchester United.

Rooney is in line to face United on Sunday as Everton head to Old Trafford for the first time since the striker left to rejoin his boyhood club.

Having establishing himself in the United team in 2015, Lingard won the FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League alongside Rooney and says the 31-year-old has played a key role in his development.

You learn every day from him. His experience in games, especially when you re young, said Lingard.

If it s only 1-0 it s always hard to manage a game, and he knew what to do at times, especially towards the end of games.

Of course, it is hard to follow him, he s always going t…

Carvajal takes aim at Mourinho

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has taken aim at former coach Jose Mourinho.

Carvajal seemed ready to make the step into the senior side at Madrid in 2012 after impressing at their reserves the previous two seasons, but Mourinho decided different and sanctioned the right-back s exit to Bayer Leverkusen instead.

The Spain international who misses Euro 2016 due to injury returned to the Bernabeu after just one season as Madrid exercised their buy-back option, but Carvajal has not forgotten about the lack of faith shown in him by Mourinho.

I felt that I was perfectly ready to play for the first team, but hey, the coach, Mourinho in this case, did not count on me, Carvajal told Marca.

Mourinho was a bit opportunistic. When I returned, he said that I need…

Pogba labels Lukaku row reports ´funny´

Paul Pogba joined Romelu Lukaku in dismissing reports of a row between the two after Manchester United s win over Southampton, calling the claims funny .

Lukaku had struck twice to help give United a 3-2 lead at Old Trafford on Saturday when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer s side were awarded a late penalty.

Pogba stepped up to take the spot-kick, rather than allowing Lukaku the chance to seal a hat-trick, and the France midfielder saw his effort saved by Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

A report in British newspaper The Sun, which quoted an unnamed United source, claimed Pogba and Lukaku had a row over the penalty following the match and needed to be calmed down by Solskjaer.

When the hate don t work they start telling lies, came an apparent response from Luk…
