data-mm-id=”_a05hz05xn”>Several weeks ago the Philadelphia Eagles were defending NFC champions with a 10-1 record and a very good chance to secure the No. 1 seed and homefield throughout the playoffs. Jake Tapper was arguing that Jalen Hurts is every bit the quarterback Patrick Mahomes gets credit for being. Nick Sirianni had some swagger and passionate fans were still willing to talk crap.Well, that's all over now. Philadelphia disintegrated in incredible fashion, losing six of their final seven games, including last night down in Tampa against a Bucs team that's not even good. What a mess! When they take the field for meaningful football next fall, their roster will look much different. Here are five players who have likely played their last game in kelly green. Jason KelceThe 36-year-old center finally had enough and is going to retire. He'll be a Hall of Famer in a few years but will leave a massive hole to fill. Heck, it may be impossible to find another player of his caliber to fill it. But guess what? Not his problem. Kelce has a very popular podcast to co-host. Fletcher CoxThe 33-year-old pass rusher was still pretty productive at times but there was a noticeable lack of gas in the tank as the season went on. He played on a one-year deal in 2023 and could potentially follow Kelce into retirement. It's a very fluid situation. And the fact that Cox has played his entire 12-year career in Philly means that each side has been preparing for this eventuality for some time. Brandon GrahamThe veteran linebacker, like Cox, played on a one-year deal. He immediately expressed interest in returning but we'll have to see just how many new ingredients the Eagles want to shop for considering this year's recipe left something to be desired.Julio JonesBrought in as a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency option, Jones actually got a fair amount of run but couldn't participate in the playoff finale due to a concussion. He's a nice fourth- or fifth- option yet doesn't make a ton of sense for the Eagles unless the A.J. Brown thing turns into a disaster and it's an all-hands-on-deck situation. Thank you for your service but we won't be needing it anymore. D'Andre SwiftSwift made his first Pro Bowl this season but he'll be a free agent and the Eagles have a lot of needs. It'd be smart to make him a priority yet the future is uncertain.

Didier Deschamps lawyer has confirmed the France coach will pursue legal action against Eric Cantona after the former Manchester United forward suggested Hatem Ben Arfa and Karim Benzema had been omitted from Les Bleus squad for Euro 2016 due to their African heritage.
Benzema was ruled out of the tournament on home soil in April, as the French Football Federation cited his need to work towards unity pending the outcome of a legal investigation into an alleged plot to blackmail fellow international Mathieu Valbuena, which had seen him suspended from international duty in December.
Ben Arfa still has a chance of featuring, having been selected among Deschamps stand-by options after a remarkable resurgence in the 2015-16 season – in which he scored 17 Ligue 1 goals to f…

He started off his tenure with Barca pretty well after making his big move from Liverpool but things have kind of fizzled out since then, which is why there’s so much interest from around Europe for him. Chelsea and Manchester United are considered to be two of the primary contenders for his signature, although it’d be interesting to see whether or not he decides against Old Trafford courtesy of his links to Liverpool.

Harry Kane will have to come off the bench if he is to continue his fine goalscoring form for Tottenham, the striker having been named among the substitutes for Tuesday s clash with Swansea City.
Spurs revealed on Friday that the England international had been suffering with an illness and, although he has travelled, he has not been deemed fit enough to start at Liberty Stadium.
That will likely come as welcome news to struggling Swansea, as Kane finished 2017 with consecutive hat-tricks in the Premier League.
He [Kane] is okay, Mauricio Pochettino told the club s official website. It s just a bit of a risk to play him from the beginning.
If we need him, I m sure we will use him. We play twice in 48 hours and need to manage the team.

Jules Kounde has detailed the role Xavi played in bringing the defender to Barcelona from Sevilla, describing how important it was the coach was pushing for the deal.
The 23-year-old was long courted by Premier League outfit Chelsea, who were widely reported to be set to secure a deal before Barcelona moved to hijack the agreement.
It was the second time in the window a late Barca move had frustrated the English side, with the Blaugrana beating them to the signature of Raphinha from Leeds United, while they also signed Andreas Christensen on a free transfer from the Blues.
